Over the past 27 years, the concert has toured 27 countries, captivating more than 350,000 audience members in 80 prestigious venues.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Orchestra &amp; Music<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>Each year\u2019s orchestra reflects the impressive cultural and ethnic diversity of China. Audiences experience instruments from every region of the country\u2014from the resonant <strong>Morin Khuur<\/strong> of Inner Mongolia to the bright, lyrical <strong>Gaohu<\/strong> of Guangdong. This season, the spotlight shines on the <strong>Pipa<\/strong> and the <strong>Erhu<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Among the distinguished ensembles that have performed in past editions are the <strong>China National Traditional Orchestra<\/strong>, the <strong>Shanghai Chinese Orchestra<\/strong>, and the <strong>Hong Kong Chinese Orchestra<\/strong>.<br \/>The repertoire spans a wide musical spectrum: from classical Chinese masterpieces to contemporary compositions, showcasing an extraordinary variety of traditional instruments that bring China\u2019s rich sonic landscape to life.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Vision<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>The Grand Chinese New Year Concert aims to <strong>bridge cultural divides<\/strong> and introduce the musical traditions of the Far East to audiences around the world. It opens listeners\u2019 ears to the beauty and expressive depth of traditional Chinese instruments in an exemplary way.
