In Chinese culture, the horse symbolizes vitality, elegance, strength, and an irrepressible drive to move forward—qualities that also characterize this year’s concert program.

Under the baton of Maestro Sun Peng, you can expect a varied journey through the soundscapes of China: from festive overtures and lyrical solo concertos to colorful orchestral works that unite tradition and modernity.

Robert Meyer will guide you through the evening, whose charm and humorous moderation will make the concert a special experience. Together with the musicians of the Chinese Orchestra Wuxi, he will build bridges between international cultures and generations.

The stirring sounds of the pipa and the gentle pulse of the erhu sound different and new to our ears. That’s exactly what matters: let’s open ourselves up to a musical experience that represents a different culture, that challenges and fascinates us in equal measure.
